A Guide to Playing …
Gambling Online, Playing Seven Card Stud High or Low
Before you are allowed to play the poker games online,
you are required to download the software provided by
the casinos. The software’s are free, and the
steps are relatively simple to follow.
Once you find the casino you wish to play in, you will
find the download software area, click on the download
tab, and follow the series of instructions. Once you
have completed the setup process, we can guide through
the process of learning how to play Seven Card Stud
High/Low online at the casino of your choice, together.
When the software has finished the download process
you are required to fill out (in most casinos) two easy
forms, which one sets up your account and the other
form will register you in the casino. Of course, any
professional website has Terms & Agreements, so
make sure that you read the details lay out in the terms
before committing yourself to the casino. If you elect
to accept the Terms then you will receive an email in
your mailbox, which includes an “Activation Code.”
The Code must be entered into the box after the Terms
& Agreement page, stating, and “Enter your
Code” now. After you have entered the code, you
are then entitled to play the games at your own risk.
Once you reach the game area, you will need to make
a small deposit into your account before you receive
any bonuses offered at the casino. Few of the casinos
online offer up to “20% in Sign-Up Bonus,”
while other casinos online may offer more. You could
also elect to play the ‘Funny Money” games,
which means that if you win your hand, you will not
receive real money. The “Funny Money” games
do not require a deposit to play.
At the Tables
At the tables, you will notice many game listings to
choose from. In this case, we are going to click on
the Seven Card Stud High/Low link. Once you select the
link, you will come to an area where you will notice
several game rooms to choose from. Pick your game room
you wish to join and then you will be linked to a private
or group table.
Let’s join the table with the group showing in
3D Graphic. In the game Seven Card Stud High/Low, the
players will split the “pot” during the
‘showdown’ hand. Each player is dealt seven
cards, and is permitted to wager against five of the
seven cards. Out of the Seven Cards, you will notice
that each player has the last two cards facing upward
on the table. Take a look around the table, since you
will wager based on the highest-ranking cards. If one
player appears to have an Ace of Hearts and a King of
Hearts facing the table, then you may want to consider
your bet, since a Straight Royal Flush may be in the
making. To understand the winning hands, I am going
to lay it on the line for your convenience.
52-Deck Cards = 13 Subcategories at equal value –
13 Hearts, 13 Spades, 13 Diamonds, 13 Clubs = Ace high,
deuce low
Straight Royal Flush = A-Hearts, K-Hearts, Q-Hearts,
J-Hearts, and Ten of Hearts. The cards must flow in
a sequence of any suit. In most poker games, the Straight
Royal Flush is the highest-ranking hand.
Straight Flush = J-Spade, Ten-Spade, 9-Spade, 8-Spade,
7-Spade, or any numbers in sequence of the same suit.
Full House = A-Heart, A-Spade, A-Diamond, 2-Clubs,
2-Hearts, or any cards mixed in a three-two hand win.
Four of a Kind = King-K-K-K-3 or Queen-Q-Q-Q-2
Flush = J-Hearts, 10-Hearts, 7-Hearts, 9-Hearts, 2-Hearts
-- any five cards of the same suit.
Three of a Kind = Jack of Hearts, J-Spades, J-Diamonds
Two Pairs = J-Hearts, J-Diamonds, 7-Spades, 7-Clubs,
3-Clubs and so forth.
Pair = J-Clubs, J-Diamonds + 3, 5, 7 and so forth
High Card = Two winners with a Straight Flush, means
that the winning with the highest-ranking hand wins
the game. In other words, if Player 1 has J-Spade, Ten-Spade,
9-Spade, 8-Spade, 7-Spade, and Player 2 has a hand consisting
of; Q-Clubs, J-Clubs, 10-Clubs, 9-Clubs, 8-Clubs, then
Player 2 wins the hand.
In the casino game rooms, the tables move clockwise
with the player to the left of the dealer wagering the
initial bet. During the game, the players can raise
the bets, fold, or else call the players bluff.
Once the game starts, the player will receive ‘two
hole cards.’ The winning card is the “bring-in”
card of lesser value, and this player will place the
bet for the next round, or else ‘check’
out of the game. If the player elects to continue the
wager, then the dealer hands each player additional
cards, adding up to seven cards total. If you have the
highest-rank hand then you, will win ‘half the
pot’ while the player holding the low hand will
receive the other half of the pot?
